Born in Nuremberg, Florian Ulherr knows food service franchise systems like the back of his hand. He has worked in the sector for many years, including as a district manager for Förster GmbH food service company (Burger King division) and as Operations Manager at McDonald’s. Until now franchisees have been his bosses. Now he has turned the tables and from February, starts out as a franchise partner himself. He nevertheless remains loyal to the industry and must now acquire catering businesses as customers with Filta’s mobile services in fryer, fat and oil management.
Finally able to get going
Already at the beginning of the corona pandemic, Florian Ulherr had decided to make the change to self-employment. It was clear to the hotel management professional, quality coach and chain restaurant expert that it would be a franchise system related to the catering and hotel industry:
“Filta convinced me of their business because I can offer my future customers not only a unique fryer management service, but also a range of supplementary services that in my experience, are really useful, sensible and sustainable”, says Ulherr. “The fact that I can both support and unburden my fellow catering colleagues in Nuremberg using my services makes me very happy”.
Already customers for the launch
After the launch had been somewhat delayed because of longer wait times for the necessary documentation due to the corona pandemic, the 37-year-old father will firstly put all his energy into winning new customers, including conducting free demonstration appointments, in order to gradually grow his fryer, oil and fat management business.
Florian Ulherr isn’t starting from scratch, however. The restaurants in the XXXLutz and Mömax furniture stores already count among Filta’s customers in Germany and Austria. Of course there is also something to make the 1.FC Nürnberg fan especially happy: as soon as food fryers start up again in the Max-Morlock stadium, Florian will be a regular fixture, not only in the stands with his fan scarf, but in his overalls in the snack bars with the mobile machine for oil filtration.
