Cleaning fryers, filtering frying oil, collecting used oil and bringing it for environmentally-friendly reprocessing into biodiesel: from now on, FiltaFry Oldenburg, run by Dominik Auge, is offering these mobile fryer and other sustainable services to commercial kitchens, initially in Oldenburg, Wilhelmshaven and Delmenhorst. For 2022, the new FiltaFry franchise partner is already planning to service restaurants, caterers and canteens also in the Aurich and Emden regions, right up to the coast.
“The sustainability impact was what convinced me“
New to the industry, Dominik Auge ventured into self-employment after over 20 years in the tools and machinery trade. “I deliberately chose a franchise system because it has the advantage of being already successful in the market, plus you can learn from other franchisees in advance or even accompany them on the job for a while”, says Dominik Auge. “I examined the Filta system for a long time and apart from the fact that there are no comparable services on the market, I was persuaded by the massive benefits to food service providers as well as the huge sustainability impact from microfiltering frying oil. The fact that a saving of up to 50% of frying oil can be made is one of the key arguments in acquiring new customers, which is currently one of my primary tasks.”
Dominik Auge also sees the continual drop in the availability of staff in the food service industry as a big opportunity for his company: “The high added value that we offer food service providers through our Filta services and the huge burden lifted from kitchen staff is a major motivation for me.”
Aside from mobile fryer services, FiltaFry Oldenburg provides other services, including on-site replacement of refrigerator seals, a chemical-free drain service as well as automatic cleaning of extraction systems.
